Running Shoe Evaluations
If you are a runner who 1) has a history of foot pain or 2) is looking for a new pair of running shoes you will not want to miss this! Meet with a physical therapist who specializes in running to get your questions answered and to find a pair of running shoes that best fits your current running needs!

Postpartum Return to Run Series
What: Postpartum Return to Run Series
Who: For postpartum runners no matter how young/old your babies!
When: Series kicks off on Wednesday, April 13th at 7pm and will run consecutive Wednesdays evenings through May 18th.
Where: Home Team Physical Therapy within Athletic Club of Ames
Cost: $299 for the series
Includes:
6 hour-long group sessions with physical therapist Megan Burt, DPT from Home Team as well as guest speakers Jen Oetker, DPT, women's health pelvic floor physical therapist from Trilogy PT, and registered dietician, Lisa Nolting RD
A return to run strength screen with establishment of an individualized home exercise strengthening program
A running gait analysis with recommendations for improving form and efficiency
A 1:1 physical therapy visit with Megan Burt, DPT to be scheduled anytime within the year
A goodie bag for participation!

Postpartum Return to Run Series
What: A 6-week Postpartum Return to Run Series
Who: For postpartum runners no matter how young/old your babies! Other women runners welcome, too!
When: Series kicks off on Wednesday, January 12th at 7:30pm and will run consecutive Wednesdays through February 16th.
Where: The Factory Strength & Conditioning, 5820 West Lincoln Way
Cost: $245 for the series
Includes:
6 hour-long group sessions with physical therapist Megan Burt, DPT from Home Team as well as guest speakers Jen Oetker, DPT, women's health physical therapist from Trilogy PT, and registered dietician, Lisa Nolting RD.
An individualized strength training program that will be built over the course of the series
2 group runs during sessions 5 and 6
A 1:1 physical therapy visit or running gait analysis with Megan Burt, DPT to be scheduled anytime in 2022

July 12th — July 26th, Home Team is partnering with Grace McCunn and the Amazing Grace Lemonade Race to benefit the STAR & Development Center at Blank’s Children’s Hospital.
The fun 5Ks (3.1 mile) runs/walks will start at Home Team’s parking lot, proceed down the sidewalks of South 3rd Street, entering the trail system by Stuart Smith Park to Brookside Park and back; it is an out-and-back course. Raffle prizes after the fun run will be awarded to a few lucky participants.

Dr. Megan Burt will be giving a 30-minute educational talk on picking the right running shoes, what to look for, why you might consider different lacing patterns plus activity and performance considerations.
Q&A to follow regarding individual concerns and footwear needs.
